Searching the Classified ADs database for specific "Keywords"

You can search the Classified ADs database using keywords of interest to you and go right to the ADs containing those keywords. Type the words you want searched into the Search text box and click on the Search ADs button.

Example: If you're searching for a Bass Boat in Florida, type "bass boat florida fl" in the Search box, and use the "find ALL words in ADs option." You can narrow the search by selecting either "Exact words in AD" or "All words in AD." The reason I added "fl" is just in case the person posting the AD used an abbreviation.

Example: If you're searching for a all tack ADs in Oklahoma, you might enter "oklahoma ok tack" and use the "find ALL words" Search option. You can narrow the search by selecting either "Exact words in AD" or "All words in AD." The reason I added "ok" is because the person listing the AD may have abbreviated with OK. To narrow the search even further, you could enter a city name, like "Tulsa".

TIP: Keep in mind that sometimes the advertiser may be using abbreviations, and/or he/she may have used incorrect spelling.

How to prepare your photo for your AD

If you have a scanner or digital camera: Use the photo editing software that came with your scanner or digital camera to save your image as a "jpg" or "gif" image type.

First, check the resolution of your image to be sure that it is 72 dpi resolution. Use the "Resample or resize image" feature in your software to resize the photo 72 dpi. Then, resize your image to: 400 pixels wide (or less) by 400 pixels high (or less).

Prior to resizing your image, you may want to custom crop the image. Use the "Mask" feature in your image editing software to select only the part of the photo that highlights what you are selling in your AD. Then select "crop to mask." (What that means is: cut out everything in the photo that is not related to what you are selling. This creates a focal point for the item to be sold).

TIP: Remember where you saved your image before you upload it! If you are using "Windows" on your PC, make a folder in the "My Documents"e; section titled "e;My Photos"e; and save your image in this file. It will make it much easier to remember where your photo is, if you have a standard folder on your PC where you keep your photo image files.

TIP: If you are having trouble uploading your photo, you can email your photo to us as an attachment, and we will place your photo in your AD. To email your photo, click here and complete the contact form, including your name, and AD Number. We will send you complete details to email your photo to us.
